The Foundation support the British Disabled Angling Association with a £15,000 grant

The Matchroom Charitable Foundation made a donation of £15,000 to the British Disabled Angling Association, a charity which looks to make fishing more accessible to those with disabilities.

The BDAA creates new opportunities for disabled children and adults to participate in the sport . The money donated went towards the charity’s various projects which include providing specialist equipment like powered fishing reels and rod harnesses, and platforms to provide a safe environment to fish from.

Matchroom Sport has a long-standing involvement in the sport of angling with its FishOMania event in its 26th year.

Terry Moseley, President of the BDAA said “The trustees would like to extend our sincere thanks for your generosity in 2018 and who believed enough in our work, helping us to help others continue their enjoyment. We hope that we have lived up to your expectations and you will consider us in the future. The trustees have many more exciting plans to enable disabled people through fishing, you all made the above possible. With your help and generosity we can continue to make a difference to people’s lives.”
