Matchroom Sport Charitable Foundation supported the Kangaroos Fun Disability Clubs with a donation of £5,000 to assist with running costs.
The Kangaroos, established in 1994, run a range of fun and social clubs and activities in a supported setting for young people with learning disabilities and special needs.
A parent said of the charity : Tom has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy as well as epilepsy. “If Kangaroos didn’t exist I don’t know what we’d do. This group is the only place where Tom can go for a fulfilling experience with his peers and independent of his parents. There is nothing else available that gives Tom opportunities to spread his wings and grow into a confident independent young man. I can’t sing Kangaroos praises loudly enough and feel very fortunate that Tom is part of the Kangaroos family because first and foremost that is what this is – a close knit ‘family’ who clearly care very deeply for the children.”
