Matchroom Foundation pleased to donate a further £26,500 to MACS

MACS – Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia & Coloboma Support – is the UK’s national charity for children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes. They help over 2500 people across the UK, supporting them at each stage of their journey by providing peer support, practical help and opportunities to take part in life-changing activity trips.

Matchroom donated £20K last year to this incredible charity and is so impressed with the work they do, they wanted to help them further again this year and have donated an additional £26,500. This money will allow MACS bring together a group of young members for a much needed confidence and independence building activity week in August.

Elizabeth Bates, CEO of MACs, said “This is absolutely wonderful news, thank you so much to everyone at Matchroom for your fantastic support.  It really will make a huge difference for so many of our young MACS members who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic and the impact of social distancing”.
