With Covid-19 having a critical effect on charities, Matchroom Foundation has facilitated two £50,000 emergency donations to Haven House and Jessie May Children’s Hospices.
With fundraising income halted and retail outlets closed, the charities are in urgent need of funds to ensure children and their families remain cared for and supported.
Matchroom and the Professional Darts Corporation have been supporting both charities nearly a decade, and the Foundation has continued that relationship with annual support.
The hospices provide essential support to children and families in their local areas who are seriously ill and have life-limiting, or life threatening conditions.
Haven House has residential and community services that service Essex, Hertfordshire and North London, including respite and end-of-life care.
Jessie May provides hospice at home care for terminally ill children in Bristol and the surrounding area,
Very proud of the @matchroomsport Charitable Foundation – today we made an emergency donation to our official charity partner @jessiemaytrust to help them survive in the current health crisis.
