A £10,000 grant enabled Age Well East to support older residents (mainly 75+) across Braintree, Colchester and Tendring who face low income, disability, and digital exclusion.
Age Well East’s free to access welfare and advice services offer a lifeline to older people over 74 years of support. A team of compassionate and knowledgeable advisors offer bespoke advice that covers everything from Blue Badge disability permits, home adaptions, housing and care options.
Martin Jones, Operations Manager, said ‘We would like to thank Trustees of Matchroom Sports Charitable Foundation for the grant funding of £10,000 towards the delivery of our Welfare & Advice Service through the course of this year.
This funding has been vital in enabling us to continue to meet the needs of our later years community through a period of funding uncertainty and against a backdrop of significant changes in local government and health sectors our advisers have assisted residents through advice and navigating through changes across our community’.
