Matchroom Foundation donates £20,000 to Strongbones Children's Charitable Trust

Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust have been able to continue their vital life-changing work to increase inclusion and provide vital support to children with the most complex orthopedic conditions in the UK.

The Matchroom Sport Foundation’s donation of £20,000 helped the Trust purchase two Acheeva Seating solutions allowing the two young girls below to be able to sit and lay with the correct posture removing the need to constantly transfer a child from one piece of equipment to another which will greatly enhance a child’s quality of life and allow them to full get involved in the world around them.

Other equipment the donation allowed the trust to purchase included a Molift portable hoise to enable a safe transfer whilst maintaining the correct posture between locations such as to and from the car. The funding has also enabled the trust to purchase forty music educational packs which will provide fantastic mental stimulation for Strongbones children.

As part of the donation, the Trust was also able to pay the deposit for an inclusive family residential to Bendrigg for 2023 which allows families to break the social isolation that many face where they can take part in activities such as abseiling down the wall of a quarry in their wheelchairs, cave exploring, and kayaking alongside their parents and siblings
