Matchroom Charitable Foundation has donated £5,000 to the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary. Nestled in the Brentwood countryside, the small charity provides a loving forever home to over 600 animals in need, ranging from horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, and pigs to more exotic creatures such as reindeer, meerkats, reptiles, parrots and raccoons. As Hopefield Animal Sanctuary receives no government funding, it relies solely on donations and public support to sustain its life-saving work.
The £5,000 donation from Matchroom Charitable Foundation has been directly utilized to alleviate the financial burden of the sanctuary’s feed bill, which amounted to £41,621 in the last financial year. The contribution has been instrumental in ensuring that the animals receive the nourishment they need for their well-being and continued care.
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary holds a special place in the hearts of those who understand the importance of protecting and nurturing animals in distress. The sanctuary’s daily running costs of over £1,600 are sustained through the compassion and support of individuals and organizations like Matchroom Charitable Foundation.
Sophie Kemp, from Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, says ‘On behalf of everyone at Hopfield Animal sanctuary, I would like to say a huge thank you to Matchroom Charitable Foundation for supporting our work. By doing so, you’ve helped make a real difference to the lives of our rescued residents. The sanctuary would cease to exist if it weren’t for the generosity of others.’
