Foundation Backs Action-Packed Learning at Alexandra Palace

Foundation Backs Action-Packed Learning at Alexandra Palace

Matchroom Sport Charitable Foundation supports Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust to deliver an action-packed programme of Creative Learning at the Park and Palace, and across North London.

The Foundation are the lead funders of activity supporting both skills learning and well-being. The Alexandra Palace team work with schools, young people, older people and people with special educational needs in Haringey, Barnet and Enfield. The Foundation’s support provides people in North London the opportunity to access and benefit from Alexandra Palace.

Examples of the programme include: our ‘Cafe Palais’ sessions – serving people with dementia and their carers with joyful creative monthly meet ups at the Palace; ‘Wild in the Park’ forest school session in our 196-acre Park, allowing children and young people to gain vital life skills through outdoor learning; and our Young Creatives Network which supports young people aiming to find careers in the creative industries.

The Foundation granted a further three years of support to the Trust in 2025, having first begun doing so in 2019. The funding has helped secured a role within their learning team and provided resources for workshops and regular programming within the local communities. Matchroom Foundation funding has helped us to increase the reach of programme from 10,000 people to 13,500 people each year.
