Foundation awards youth support charity £25,000

The Matchroom Charitable Foundation is pleased to support Ditch the Label, a youth charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 12-25, helping them navigate the complex issues in their lives.

The charity focuses on four main areas: direct support, education resources, research, and campaigns, providing a comprehensive approach to empower young people and promote positive change.

Through direct support, Ditch the Label offers personalised assistance to some of the most vulnerable young people, helping them tackle challenges such as bullying, mental health struggles, identity and relationships. In addition to one-to-one support, Ditch the Label creates free and complete education resources that equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to overcome life’s challenges and thrive. These resources are designed to be accessible and relevant, addressing the key topics impacting their lives.

Ditch the Label is also at the forefront of research, using data and insights to better understand the experiences of young people today. Their research informs campaigns and advocacy work, allowing them to challenge societal norms and drive positive change on issues affecting young people’s mental health, equality, and inclusion.

The Foundation’s donation will go directly into support services enabling clinically trained mentors to be there when young people need us the most.

“On behalf of everyone at Ditch the Label, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your very generous donation. Your support plays a vital role in helping us continue our work with young people, offering them the guidance and resources they need to navigate the many issues they face. Your contribution is not only making a difference today but is also helping us build a brighter future for vulnerable youth. We are truly grateful for your support in this important mission.” Sue Jones Head of Operations.
