The Foundation was proud to support the Kangaroo’s Fun Disability Clubs with a donation of £5,000 to assist with the provision of their overnight adventures.
The Kangaroos, established in 1994, run a range of fun and social clubs and activities in a supported setting for young people with learning disabilities and special needs.
The charity’s Vision is a future where people with learning disabilities are valued and accepted by all and their Mission is to enrich the lives of individuals enabling them to thrive without limits.
The monies from the Foundation will support a fantastic overnight trip for some of it’s members with disabilities to Hindleap Warren Outdoor Centre. The Kangaroos aim is to boundaries, offer fun and friendship, and to build independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
A parent said of the charity whose daughter attended an overnight adventure said : ‘A much needed break and valuable time with my other children knowing I can relax without guilt, she is having her best time and I trust the staff that she is safe and having fun’
