£35,000 donated to visible difference charity - Changing Faces

The Foundation was delighted to continue their support to Changing Faces – a visible difference and disfigurement charity, working to improve the lives of those with a scar, mark or condition that makes them appear different.

As the UK’s leading visible difference charity, they are transforming lives through specialist services such as counselling, workshops for children and young people, emotional support calls and a specialist skin camouflage service. They also campaign to raise awareness of the issues and reduce the everyday discrimination and prejudice that the visible difference community faces.

Ellie Saltrick, Head of Fundraising at Changing Faces “Our research shows that people with a visible difference are often vulnerable to isolation, loneliness, social anxiety, and low self-esteem – and can face significant disadvantage in all areas of their lives; from access to education and getting jobs, to receiving the healthcare they need. That’s why we are so grateful to the Matchroom Sport Foundation who will play a significant role in helping us to raise the profile of visible difference so that everybody can access the support they need, when they need it.”
