Matchroom Foundation helps Jessie May recruit new care team leader

The Matchroom Foundation has pledged £30,000 to help Jessie May recruit a new care team leader to provide hospice at home care for terminally ill children in Bristol and the surrounding area.

The charity was set up by the parents of Jessica May Purrington, a little girl who died at home aged 4 months, surrounded by her family and her nurses. Jessie May has a team of dedicated nurses who provide care to children and families during a child’s life and after their death.

Chris Roys the CEO of Jessie May responded to the pledge “having your funding in place gives us the security to recruit a third care team leader and the time to find long-term funding for this post after your grant has ended. This is the Foundation’s legacy. Without your funding we could not make this appointment. On behalf of the 129 terminally ill children and their families currently in our care – thank you for your most generous support.”
